Map, Meet Ground: Topography and Terrain

Mappers (colonizing, indigneous, and otherwise) were modeling terrain long before modern 3D modeling software. In this workshop, we’ll explore a range of approaches to representing terrain, none of which will involve working with CAD—hillshade, contours, and some other, more idiosyncratic techniques that will provide the reader with a different sense of ground and groundedness in each case.
